Meet The Final Guys

  • Chris Holt

    Chris Holt

    Co-creator, Slaughter Shack

I love writing anything that relates to horror. Usually, this includes articles, short stories, and horror screenplays. Currently, I have three screenplays that are doing the rounds amongst several UK production companies. When I’m not writing screenplays I’m building the Slaughter Shack brand.

  • Ed Shackleton

    Ed Shackleton

    Co-creator, Slaughter Shack

Creator of all things horror - I draw, write, and compose the weird and the wonderful.

With a bunch of short horror comics behind me, I'm focusing most of my efforts on longer form stories and feature length screenplays.

  • Ashley-Walker

    Ashley Walker

    Key Contributor, Slaughter Shack

I’ve written a novel about monsters, which is currently circling some very interested publishers and will be available to pre-order on Amazon soon.

Apart from that, I'm usually creating Millpond stories for the Slaughter Shack community.

Our Mission

Slaughter Shack is a collaborative site filled with original and engaging content on all things that go bump in the night.

We want to inspire creativity by offering a space where other horror enthusiasts can get their work published, viewed, and adored.

Slaughter Shack is where storytelling can find its own feet.

A place where spooky tales can be passed on…

Where dread can be dissected…

Where nightmares can find a voice.

So, whether you’re a veteran or a newbie, why not send us your pitch and get your work published?

Our Journey

Redundancy sucks, but it does give you a lot of free time.

Late one evening in March 2024, Chris and Ed were a few hours into some online zombie slaying.

They were chatting about the difficulty of getting freelance writing gigs, without a large portfolio of work or the connections necessary. It’s hard to be taken seriously when you haven’t got anything published, you don’t know anyone in the industry, or you’re up against more experienced writers.

Between them, they had several unpublished articles, all coincidently featuring ghosts, goblins, guts and gore. These needed a home, and several respawns later, Chris and Ed decided to set up Slaughter Shack - a website dedicated to creative HORROR stories.

Short stories, comics, reviews and videos - you name it, they wanted it in there.

Within a matter of days, they had set up the most creative, collaborative, and creepy content site the internet has to offer.
